What is Reformed Missiology?

The whole purpose of this website is to answer the question, what is Reformed Missiology? How does it impact the way we do missions, and ultimately how does it glorify God?

Reformed Missiology is at its heart Reformed Theology, which rightfully includes missiology. Later we will post an explanation of Reformed Theology, but in its summation, Reformed Theology is simply theology of how God chooses to display Himself, and glorify Himself through His creation as presented through His inerrant Word, the Bible.

So in truth, “Reformed” theology or missiology isn’t reformed, but rather what the Bible truly teaches without the additions of traditions, culture, sciences, social sciences and academicians.  The “reformed” aspect is actually reforming our current theological worldview into alignment with God’s Word. Initially this started back in the Reformation, but even continues up to this day, and will continue as long as there are those who without a biblical understanding of God’s strategy, create man-made works based on their worldview, and not Gods. It is a biblical concept that man is prone to wander and error. It is the Word of God that calls us back to His ways for His glory. This is the ultimate goal of any reformation, to call back the wandering to God’s purposes for His glory.

This is why we need to create a unique term of Reformed Missiology. For some peculiar reason, of which we will discuss later, many have been reforming theology to what is called Reformed Theology for a some time now, however, this same reformed movement has interestingly enough been devoid and unapplied to the missions of the church, as though Reformed Theology weren’t important to it. This website is here to call attention to that, and to call out the modern missions movement to apply proper and godly theology to all aspects of their ministry, and where alignment is not there (which will often be the case) that ministry, or mission must cease or be radically changed to be in alignment with the theology of the Word of God, which is ultimately His strategy for missions.

We will have many guest writers on this site, and we appreciate your feedback and involvement.
